highlight of my weekend

one of my waterpolo kids is in a tahitian dance group: le polynesia. they had a performance at cal state long beach last night. i went up with her family. the show was hands down amazing. the first half of the show was with all the new people, even lil 4 yr olds and slower music. the seccond half was the fun drumming and fast dancing. this pic doesnt do it all justice..but it was simply amazing. this weekend was spent moving and lesson plans...so what a nice change of pace!!!!!

missing europe...

i so wish i was still in europe. every time i come back from vacation i go thru these withdrawls of coming home. this year for sure i did!!! i was thrown into the crazy whirlwind of student teaching, coaching, being poor and moving back to my parents this weekend! well, i will be back in europe the end of july for waterpolo...so i guess i can wait til then:)

okay, so i started my student teaching this past week at capo. so far so good. teaching 2 world history classes (10th graders) and 2 geography classes (9th graders). i should be doing some lesson plans right now...but my cousin found this awesome site: www.yearbookyourself.com

8-8-08 was the day my brother and ruth got married. i have tons of pics that i havent had time to upload them yet. however..my bro's friend ben did the pics. here is the link....a few pics are from the aloha party...so click past those. amazing wedding!!!

a day in edinburgh

it was pouring down rain on thurs.  eric and i had wanted to go to st. andrews...but since it was raining alot.....some trains were delayed.  we couldnt get to st. andrews...so we went into edinburgh instead.  i had to take my rainbow sandals off and walk around barefoot b/c my feet were soaked.

for ruth's hen party we went to the scotsman hotel in downtown edinburgh.  we had an amazing steak dinner and wine.  followed by a great slideshow and trivia game.  we also went out on the town and danced for a little bit.
